My Angel..... this is my dog QT~ to whom I credit with saving my life!!!! She loves having her picture taken! When she was a young crazy dog, she was running around the room and she jumped over the couch's end and jumped on me hitting me in the breast. The following day I had a problem and I thought she injured me. I went to the Dr. and she sent me for a mammogram and that was the beginning of a long 2 years. Qt, is the QUEEN in our home!! She kept me sane through chemo, twice! She and I would lay together on my recliner. Another interesting story~ Jack, our then 14 year old cat slept on me every night after I was diagnosed and kneaded me where the cancer was. He never did this before and has not done it since!

When I was diagnosed, I opted to have a lumpectomy. I was told there was no difference in survival rates between a lumpectomy and a mastectomy. What they neglected to tell me was that the chances of recurrence were high because of the type of cancer I had. I might have opted not to spare my breast, but that is water under the bridge. I had the lumpectomy followed by chemo and radiation. Not even a year after I was done with my treatments, they found a spot near my original site that ended up being another cancer. This time I decided to do both breasts and not take a chance on having to go through it all a third time. So in between hurricanes Francis and Jean, in 2004, I had a double mastectomy. I ended up having chemo again. Not fun but a necessary part of surviving cancer.
During my treatments, I found that I was drawn to Fairies, I had to have them around. I have them all over inside and out side my home, even in my car!! I feel protected and watched out for. Crazy, perhaps but besides being beautiful to look at, I think fairy's, dragons and wizards are great protection. I love the artist fairy's, Nene' Thomas, Amy Brown, The Flower fairies and Kitchen fairies. I collect them all so I enjoy selling them as well. What are your favorite fairies?
Well that is all for today....I wish for you a great day and ENJOY!!
