My Angel..... this is my dog QT to whom I credit with saving my life!!!!

My Angel..... this is my dog QT~ to whom I credit with saving my life!!!! She loves having her picture taken!

When she was a young crazy dog, she was running around the room and she jumped over the couch's end and jumped on me hitting me in the breast. The following day I had a problem and I thought she injured me. I went to the Dr. and she sent me for a mammogram and that was the beginning of a long 2 years. Qt, is the QUEEN in our home!! She kept me sane through chemo, twice! She and I would lay together on my recliner. Another interesting story~ Jack, our then 14 year old cat slept on me every night after I was diagnosed and kneaded me where the cancer was. He never did this before and has not done it since!

When I was diagnosed, I opted to have a lumpectomy. I was told there was no difference in survival rates between a lumpectomy and a mastectomy. What they neglected to tell me was that the chances of recurrence were high because of the type of cancer I had. I might have opted not to spare my breast, but that is water under the bridge. I had the lumpectomy followed by chemo and radiation. Not even a year after I was done with my treatments, they found a spot near my original site that ended up being another cancer. This time I decided to do both breasts and not take a chance on having to go through it all a third time. So in between hurricanes Francis and Jean, in 2004, I had a double mastectomy. I ended up having chemo again. Not fun but a necessary part of surviving cancer.

During my treatments, I found that I was drawn to Fairies, I had to have them around. I have them all over inside and out side my home, even in my car!! I feel protected and watched out for. Crazy, perhaps but besides being beautiful to look at, I think fairy's, dragons and wizards are great protection. I love the artist fairy's, Nene' Thomas, Amy Brown, The Flower fairies and Kitchen fairies. I collect them all so I enjoy selling them as well. What are your favorite fairies?

Well that is all for today....I wish for you a great day and ENJOY!!

Motorcycle accessories and Leathers at Fairy's Delight

Hi,

My name is Marina and I work with Michelle at Fairy's Delight. I just bought my second motorcycle and it got us thinking about adding a line of motorcycle accessories and leather clothes here at Fairy's Delight. We would carry items such as Leather motorcycle jackets, chaps, pants, saddlebags, sissybags, headwraps, belts, boots, chain wallets, etc.

What do you all think?

Be safe out there.

Marina

Welcome to my Blog!!!!

Hi and welcome to my very first blog!

This is all new to me so if you have any advise please let me know.

My name is Michelle, I am a 2 time Breast Cancer survivor, of 5 years!!! Yes!!!! I am the president of my BC support group. We are having our 2 nd annual 2008 Pink Ribbon Gala this Sat. in Wellington, Florida. Our money gets donated to other members who are having treatments and are in need of help. We also put money into research, which of course we are hoping to someday help find a cure for breast cancer.

After my treatments I had to go back to work but my "chemo" brain made it hard for me to concentrate and learn a new job. I decided to start my own business where I could work at my own speed. So Fairys Delight was born on ebay! I quickly learned that ebay was not as easy as it seems :) I learned the ropes, gave fast service and wrapped every order. I wanted people to feel like they were getting a present for themselves with every order!! I hope you all enjoy that.

This year has been a challenging one for me with the economy being so bad. I want to hear from our customers what it is they would like us to carry. I would like to be able to give you good prices and great, fast service on all your needs through this ever changing economy. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Let's all get through the hard times together!! It has served me well being a cancer survivor and I know it will help us all get through this recession no one wants us to know about!!!

I hope to hear from you soon!!

Have a great day,

Michelle
